question about SJA2
I just saw some photos of Sarah Jane Adventures season 2 filming. I'm way behind the times, newswise, so I have spoilery questions:

Maria is gone? Really? That's not good. What happened?

Corollary question: *Alan* is gone? *Really?* I'm not happy.

According to the rumors, either Yasmine wanted to be free to focus on her exams this year or her mother wanted too much money. I don't know about her availability, but the guy who plays Alan says that he has/will film a goodbye scene, so they're being given a graceful out.

I am a bit pleased that the new family is Indian, as that's a huge demographic that has been undershown in the Whoniverse.

Well, shoot. I loved Maria and Alan! Crud. Crud crud crud. I'd rather know now than find out when we finally get season 2, though. I'm very funny about spoilers.

Now I have to figure out how to break it to the Shrimp. The good thing is that Small Child loves Sarah Jane more than she loves the other characters.

BH just came and read over my shoulder (at my urging). He says not to tell SC.
